The Graea Sisters, by Beatriz Abbott

Dark clouds swirled around overheard, spewing lightning and strange purple light. A single crow screeched and flapped away.
A deafening screech of horrifying laughter ripped through the silence, sending some crew members backwards into the sand, scrambling to remember which direction was up, while others gasped and cried out. The sound quickly faded, and the captain brandished her blades and signaled for her crew to follow her footsteps. A chorus of whimpers answered her, but they followed their captain deeper into the cave.
In the center, surrounded by a thin halo of light, stood three cloaked figures. Another, louder cackle echoed off the walls and the pirates found themselves locked in a fight against the Graea Sisters; a battle against the fates themselves.
